If someone does a search for “ducklings near me,” will they find you? We can help. Our duck people are outnumbered. Walk into any farm store in May and the chick bins go wall to wall. Feed stores stock chicken feeders, chicken waterers, chicken coops, chicken breed guides. The poultry Facebook groups are 90% chicken people. If you raise ducks you already know the feeling of being the weird one at the feed store asking if they have anything that isn’t a Pekin. People search for “ducklings near me,” but don’t know where to find them. We always sell out at animal swaps or events we work, especially when we sell them sexed.
USA Duck Team exists because duck producers are stronger together than apart. This post explains what we built, how it works, and why joining during our free beta period is the best time to get in.
What is the USA Duck Team marketplace
If people search for “ducklings near me,” they can find YOU. We are a regional waterfowl producer network and marketplace connecting duck and goose producers across the United States s with buyers who are actively looking for heritage breed birds, hatching eggs, meat ducks, eating eggs, and breeding stock. While the Livestock Convervancy listings are great, they don’t always update quickly for new members. Our listings go live the same day in most cases.
When you list on USA Duck Team your birds are visible to everyone who finds us — and we are building toward being the top result when anyone in the central states searches for heritage duck eggs, Cayuga ducklings, blue solid ducks, or local duck meat. One listing reaches every buyer we bring in, not just the people who happen to see your Facebook post before the algorithm buries it.
What we list
Unlike Facebook groups that technically allow anything, we are focused specifically on waterfowl. We list:
- Hatching eggs — duck and goose
- Ducklings and goslings
- Eating eggs
- Whole meat birds and cuts
- Breeding stock
- Duck products — rendered fat, feathers, and more
No chickens. No rabbits. No general farm stuff. Just waterfowl, which means every buyer who finds us is already a duck person looking for exactly what you have.
How it works for producers
You fill out our partner farm application at usaduckteam.com/partner-farms. We review your application and add your farm to our interactive map and producer directory. Buyers browse by location and breed, find your listing, and contact you directly. If your breeds aren’t listed yet, we can make a listing for them.
During our current beta period listing is completely free. No commission, no monthly fee, no per-listing charge. We are building the network and proving the model before we talk about any revenue sharing structure. Early partner farms get in at the ground floor and help shape how this works.
Why this beats Facebook groups
Facebook groups reach the people already in that group. Our marketplace reaches anyone searching Google for heritage duck eggs near them, Cayuga ducklings in Kansas City, or blue solid ducks for sale. Those are buyers with purchase intent who found us because they were looking — not scrolling. We are working with AI to find ways to become found.
Facebook posts disappear in 24 hours. Your marketplace listing stays live until you take it down. A buyer who finds you in November from a post you made in March is a sale Facebook never would have delivered.
And the rising tide argument is real. Every producer who joins makes the network more valuable for every other producer. More listings means more buyers find us. More buyers means more traffic for your listing. We are all duck people building something the chicken people don’t have.
Who we are looking for
We are specifically recruiting NPIP-certified producers with heritage or exhibition ducks and geese. We want producers who take their birds seriously, maintain their flock health, and want a long-term home for their excess stock beyond the weekend swap meet table.
You don’t need a large operation. Several of our current partner farms are small urban and suburban flocks. If you have quality birds and occasionally have hatching eggs or ducklings available, you belong in this network.
Join during beta — it’s free
We are currently accepting partner farm applications from duck and goose producers across Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, Ohio, and Indiana. The application takes about five minutes. We review every application personally and add approved farms within a few days.
